AlignPro respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal information when you use this website, submit a quote request, contact us, upload information, or apply to become a service provider.
This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors, customers, prospective customers, service providers and prospective service providers who use the AlignPro website.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” has the meaning given to it under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013, also known as POPIA.
AlignPro helps users request quotes for services such as plumbing, electrical and solar services. The website allows users to submit service requests, upload supporting information, and request that AlignPro or relevant service providers contact them.
Where AlignPro determines why and how your personal information is processed, AlignPro acts as the responsible party under POPIA.
We may collect customer quote request information such as your name and surname, mobile number, email address, suburb, region, service type, description of the issue, uploaded photos or files, and any extra information you submit through a form.
We may collect provider application information such as business or trading name, services offered, area serviced, name and surname, email address, mobile number, website address, company documents, uploaded files and other application information.
We may collect technical and website-use information such as IP address, browser type, device information, date and time of access, pages visited, security logs, server logs, cookies and similar technologies.
We may collect communication information from website forms, WhatsApp, phone calls, email messages, quote follow-ups, support requests and provider onboarding discussions.
We collect personal information directly from you when you submit a quote request, complete a service form, upload a photo or document, contact us, apply to become a provider, or communicate with us by phone, WhatsApp, email or another contact method.
We may also collect technical information automatically through hosting logs, security systems, analytics tools, cookies or similar website technologies.
We use personal information to receive and process quote requests, understand what service you need, contact you about your request, send your request to suitable service providers where applicable, help service providers understand the work required, assess provider applications, communicate with customers and providers, provide support, improve the website, prevent fraud or abuse, keep internal records, and comply with legal or operational requirements.
We process personal information where you have consented, where processing is necessary to take steps at your request, where processing is necessary to perform or prepare for a service relationship, where processing is necessary for legitimate interests that do not unjustifiably affect your rights, or where processing is required or allowed by law.
When you submit a quote request, we may share relevant request information with service providers who may be able to assist you. This may include your contact details, service type, location, description of the issue, and uploaded photo or supporting information.
We aim to share only the information reasonably needed for the service provider to understand the request, contact you, and provide a quote or service response.
We may share personal information with service providers, website hosting providers, email or form-processing providers, IT and security providers, professional advisers, regulators, authorities, courts, law enforcement bodies, and other parties where you have consented or where the law allows it.
We do not sell your personal information.
If you upload a photo, image or document, it may contain personal information or information about your property, business, issue or location. You should only upload information that is relevant to your quote request, service issue or provider application.
Uploaded files may be used to understand your request, attach information to an email, send information to relevant staff or service providers, and keep a record of the request where necessary.
We may contact you about your own request, provider application or service enquiry. We may also send marketing or promotional communication where permitted by law or where you have consented.
You may ask us to stop sending marketing communication at any time. We will not intentionally send unsolicited electronic direct marketing where POPIA requires prior consent and no valid consent or lawful basis exists.
The website may use cookies or similar technologies to support website functionality, security, analytics, performance and user experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the website works.
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required or allowed by law. When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, destroy, de-identify or securely archive it.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. However, no website, email system or internet transmission is completely secure.
Some technology, hosting, email, security, analytics or support providers may process or store information outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred outside South Africa, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place as required by applicable law.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request access to your personal information, ask us to correct or update inaccurate personal information, ask us to delete personal information where appropriate, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and complain to the Information Regulator if you believe your personal information has been processed unlawfully.
We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request.
This website is intended for use by adults who request home, business or property-related services, or by service providers applying to work with AlignPro. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent where such consent is required by law.
